Parcels in China Reach a Record 216.5 Billion Shipments in 2025
Parcels in China recorded a historic surge in 2025, as official figures revealed that the country’s postal and delivery sector processed more than 216.5 billion shipments, highlighting the rapid expansion of e-commerce and logistics services.
Data released at the National Postal Work Conference showed that parcels in China increased by 11.5% compared with 2024, underlining the sector’s steady momentum as a key pillar of the Chinese economy.
The express delivery segment alone handled around 199 billion packages last year, posting a strong year-on-year growth of 13.7%, driven by rising consumer demand for faster shipping solutions.
Zhao Chongjiu, head of the National Postal Administration, stated that total postal industry revenues reached about 1.8 trillion yuan in 2025, equivalent to $256.5 billion, reflecting a 6.4% annual increase.
He added that express delivery revenues climbed to nearly 1.5 trillion yuan, up 6.5% year on year, emphasizing that parcels in China have become a crucial driver of economic and social development.
Authorities noted that the sector continues to maintain stable and positive growth, supported by ongoing investments in digital and logistics infrastructure to meet rising market demand.
